What's the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping mirrors the image, so left becomes right. Rotating turns it without mirroring. Text reads correctly after a rotation but backwards after a horizontal flip.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Rotating and flipping happen in your browser, so your photos stay on your device.
Does rotating lose quality?
The image keeps its full resolution. JPGs are re-saved at high quality (95%), so any change is invisible.
Why is my photo sideways in the first place?
Phones record which way they were held in a hidden orientation tag. Some apps and websites ignore that tag. Rotating here bakes the correct orientation into the pixels, so the photo shows upright everywhere.
